How we made this list
We haven't tested these tools hands-on, and we don't rank them. We picked one tool per job that has a public price and says clearly what it does. Every fact comes from the vendor's own site, checked on 14 October 2026 from Europe. Compass is our own product, so it isn't in the list.

How to pick an AI SEO tool
- 1Start with the job: data, drafts, fixes, or the work done?
- 2If it publishes, can you review first and undo in one step?
- 3For AI visibility, ask how it measures: app or API, how many runs?
- 4Count the limits: prompts, articles, sites and credits.

Questions
There is no single best one, because the tools do different jobs. If you write your own content, a content tool like Surfer, Frase or Clearscope fits. If you need technical fixes without a developer, look at Alli AI or Search Atlas. If you want to know whether AI answers name you, use a visibility tracker. If you want the work done, look at AI SEO agents.
Some can publish on their own. Google says AI content should be fact-checked and reviewed before it is published, and many pages made only to rank break its spam policies. A tool that lets you review every change before it goes live is the safer choice.
They cost less than an agency: the entry prices on this page run from free to about $300 a month. They are worth it if the tool does a job you would otherwise skip. They are not worth it if you pay for data nobody acts on.
